ABSTRACT
Exotic Dreams: A Cross-Cultural Study

A collection of 1,666 dream reports from workshops given in six
countries (Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, United States) was
investigated. "Exotic" elements were identified, e.g., dreams
reports that contained content indicating that they were purportedly
creative, lucid, out of body, past life, telepathic, precognitive,
clairvoyant, visitation. Russian reports contained more
"exotic" elements than those from other countries. Examples
from all six countries will be given, and the cultural context of the
dreams will be explored and contrasted.
