Gina Pearlin, CHT teaches vocational training programs in Dreamwork and Hypnotherapy at Twin Lakes College of the Healing Arts in Santa Cruz, CA. and has been facilitating dreamwork for groups and individuals since 1992. gpearlin@cruzio.com

4. Summary of Presentation: Dream Re-entry with a Map
Dream re-entry through self-hypnosis, combined with an understanding of the dynamics described in the dream story is an effective way of exploring and receiving information about a dream. Participants will create a Amap@of their dream based on story-line, characters, and symbols to prepare for a guided dream re-entry.

5. To Learn:
1.How to identify the main process, event, or relationship in the dream story and to examine dream ego's relationship to it.
2. How to use that information to chose what to explore during a dream re-entry.
3. A self-hypnotic technique for dream re-entry

Evaluation Questions:
1. Was the intention of the workshop fulfilled?
2. Is there something you would have liked added to the presentation?
3. Do you have any suggestions for the presenter?

8. Abstract
In this workshop, participants will learn how to use a combination of analytical and non-analytical techniques to explore and receive information about their dreams. Dream re-entry through self hypnosis is an effective method for opening up communication with dream characters, experimenting with different responses to situations in the dream, completing a dream story, and reconnecting to states of being in the dream.

Before re-entering a dream, it is helpful for the dreamer to be able to see the dynamics described in the dream narrative and to approach the dream exploration with an objective point of view. This can be achieved by examining the structure of the dream: identifying the main event, process, or relationship in the dream, "dream ego's" relationship to it (the process), as well as other character's relationship to it. From there, the dreamer can question the perspective of "dream ego" as well as have a clearer idea of what to explore during the dream re-entry. Participants will examine the structure of their dream, learn how to re-enter a dream through self-hypnosis, and experience a guided dream re-entry.

5. Each attendee will be working with one of their own dreams. They will identify the main event, process, or relationship in the dream, examine Adream ego's relationship to (the main event), and based on that information, chose what they wish to explore during the dream "re-entry". They will do that work privately and then have the opportunity to pair up and share the dream and their conclusions with a partner. Following, they will experience "dream re-entry" through a type of guided trance induction (that they will be able to practice at home). They will have some time write about their experience in their journals after the trance. Participants will be invited to say something about their process if they wish.
