Contest Details:

A sender is chosen and a photo of this sender will be displayed online on the evening of the contest. The sender will also be introduced to the contestants gathered onsite, SATURDAY, JUNE 27, 9-9:30PM CDT. The sender will randomly select a “target” from a pool of four images, all in sealed envelopes, as unlike in subject material and thematic content as possible. After instructions are given and the audience has time to interact with the sender, the sender will take the sealed envelope to his/her room and open it in private (The remaining envelopes will remain sealed and not be in contact with the sender.)



The sender will periodically send the image telepathically during the night, using various sensory input to connect with the picture and make it available to those reaching out for it in their dreams. Both onsite and online dreamers are encouraged to remember and record all their dreams, underlining or bolding any aspects of the dream which they feel might correspond with the target sent during the night.



On the following morning, Sunday, June 28, the four pictures from the target pool will displayed at the conference from approximately 9 AM-5 PM (CDT)(central daylight time.) They will also be posted online, but please allow for a slight delay in posting.

Dreamers will then select the image they feel corresponds most closely with their dream(s) and submit their written dream reports, noting their names and the number and description of the picture they believe to be the selected target image.

The Dream Telepathy Contest is hosted by Bob Van de Castle and Rita Dwyer and is expected to run to the following schedule,

Sunday, June 28, 9AM-5PM CDT, the pool of pictures will be displayed on site and online. Contestants are requested to write down their dreams before coming to look at the pictures, and then on studying them, select the picture which their dreams best represent. If on site, place the dreams identified with the dreamers’ names and target selections in the designated containers (boxes or envelopes numbered to correspond with the pictures.


Online dreamers are also asked to write down their dreams before looking at the pictures in the target pool, or reading the dreams of others before sending their own dream records to the Telepathy Contest thread on the IASD Bulletin Board making sure to identify themselves with their names and e-mail addresses, as well as the number of the picture they have selected as the possible target. Underlining or bolding parts of the dream which seem to the dreamer to be a telepathic connection with the target will earn greater points from the judges. The deadline for submissions for both on site and online dreamers is Sunday, June 28, 5PM. CHICAGO/Central Time

AFTER the deadline has passed, we encourage participants to note their dream connections with the pictures in the pool, as well as areas where dreamers had similar images, themes, etc. This is often the most fun of all! Making connections and feeling empowered!

Judging will be done of the onsite pictures with results announced at times yet to be determined. Online winners will be posted later on the bulletin board thread.

Dream 1: (lucid)

A dwarf shows me 3 pictures.

picture 1: A pastel colored painting of a womans face up front. Seems impressionist/pointillistic. or "soft pixels".

picture 2: flowers. (no stalks or leaves, only the "head of the flower") arranged in some kind of pattern. They are arranged on the picture, and not randomly - but according to a pattern. there seem to be curved lines connecting each individual flower.
multi-colored but only 3 or so colors, that repeat.

picture 3: dark blue - intense, almost shimmering, deep color - butterflies, arranged in some kind of pattern. they are arranged on the picture, and not randomly - but according to a pattern. there seem to be curved lines connecting each individual butterfly. All the same color.

several fragments:

- with a group of people sitting next to / below some kind of structure. Aluminium beams connected to each other.

- a group of people arranged into some kind of pattern, around a center. It seems they are mobile, they dont walk but smoothly move like in a small electrical vehicle - and appear to be in a small, smooth "vehicle". One by one they are taken away by two persons, (walking, on foot) who move them out of the room.
After a few, it is " fast forwarded". Thank god, i think, because it would be boring to wait until they all are removed.
They all are removed now, one by one, fast forward mode. Until the center group of 3 is all that is left.

- my husband and I are waiting for a person to finish something. Eventually she comes to tell us that she cant make it, and that we could trade places with her, and instead meet [couple 1] somewhere or [couple 2] somewhere.

- Apparenly my mother is going to have another baby, which will be her third. I eventually tell this secret to a friend, and also explain that a mutual friend will be the midwife.
This midwife I have apparently infected with some kind of virus (flu?), in resentment, because I was angry with her about something.

- A laptop displays a 3 dimensional structure. Blue lines, connected by "balls" in another color. gold or red.

- an image of 2 black socks, at the bottom of the balustrade of a balcony. the balustrade shows as black, vertical lines to a white background.

Lots of patterns, groups, structures. Pairs. 3's.
I now have the impression of something to do with molecules, or something on that level. Maybe target picture is a diagram of something, or an architectional feature like eiffel tower or atomium.

Something from a dream about an Irish meatball also makes me think of song where the meatball falls off the spaghetti and onto the floor and then rolls out the door. This reminds me of seeing the boat with the flag on it and a nursery rhymn or childhood fairy tale.
J is sitting in a restaurant at a (boot) booth table of 4. I came in looking for him and some other children because I have to get them to school. I tap one little boy on the shoulder who is standing by a deli type glass showcase and then go over to the table to get J because I see the clock it is already close to 815 and he is going to be late for school. He is sitting across from a woman I don't know and I tell him we have to go but especially because he didn't go yesterday, he says he just ordered breakfast there is a glass type thing in front of him with a card and other stuff stacked on top of it, when I asked him what he ordered the woman echos my words and at first I think he says in a low voice toast but he says pancakes. She says to him she will wait for him till he comes back and I tell her he has a full day so that will be later but maybe we can pack it to go she reminds me of a woman Joan or Joyce B from a tv show she is a tall blonde like woman in electronics from the movie 40 year old virgin (This makes me think of Mary/Jesus). J leaves with me and as we go to go outside through this dark wood coloring restaurant there is something odd about the front door it opens more like a Dorothy door from the wizard of oz. We go down the stairs and there is a 20 something guy there saying something like how are they surviving or making it in there without him and his offer to help in the kitchen? he reminds me of the chef named Danny from Hell's Kitchen he is saying something about washing dishes and I say so far seems to be going ok but keep on coming back and asking because you never know when they will need you. I drop J off at school it feels more like a pre school. I come back to the restaurant looking over to see if the woman is still there waiting. It is crowded and another group of darker skin women sitting at a long table like the Last Supper stop me to ask me a question.

In another dream piece I am going in and out of the neighbors houses kids and lots of people seem to be doing the same thing. One house is level to the ground this makes me think of an earthquake. I go into this house talking about the grass. Another part someone maybe Sophia on a reclining type chair and then G (a Colombian woman I know) comes in and says they have to go and she lays on the chair. I prepare a cold pack with a coiled copper wire to put across her eyes. I tell her my sleep patch has loose elastic but it will still work and then I put the other part over her eyes after I ring it out and feel the coolness of the water. This reminds me of some kind of water spout in the dream. Then G shows me her bare feet saying can I rub her feet for her too. This makes me think of the movie Chuck and Larry with firemen. Also a woman that reminds me of Nancy her cousin pours wine into a big saucer like wooden salad bowl with the intention of drinking it and as she is mixing it I say oh that is a lot of wine won't she be sick? Then on the side I put a cork on the top of the bottle which still has a small amount in it that she scooped from the bowl. Scoop makes me think of a dog. Saucer makes me think of a UFO.

In a dream my neice shows me her tan shoulder and says it is a side effect or perk from her job. Also something about a piece of hair by a toilet. My mother in law's birthday.

Into waking thought of a cobble stone road and the Russian Church. Hearing steps or horses hoofs. a feather a backwards crawling spider that looks like an Aunt

Something about my front tooth or teeth falling out.

I am with a companion. We are on a mission requiring stealth. My companion has light weight wire entangled in his teeth. It looks like braces. A Police car drives by. My companion must duck his head so as to not look suspiscious.

I am on a road going somewhere. I see two green giants strolling the opposite direction. I think they were in the dream fragment involving my teeth falling out. I remember that I must extract blood from one of them with a hyperdermic needle.They are made of heavy wire and moss planted with vegitation. They are shaped like the great monoliths on Easter Island.

I must get to one side of the San Francisco Bay to the other. I use a makeshift pontoon and pole myself across from Oakland. I see that there are many skiffs on the water; Pole driven. A boater tells me that the water is very cold. My craft is not sufficient to bear my weight. I begin to sink down and feel the icey water around my lower legs.[/b]

I had no dreams of recall last evening. I did, however, have a dream of interest yesterday (Saturday) morning at approximately 6:00 AM. I wonder if this dream is more of a precognitive prediction rather than a telepathy experiment. The dream went as follows:

I was throwing a football with a cousin on my father’s side of the family. He went out for a long pass. I threw a perfect spiral and he caught it easily. He then challenged me to throw him one in the woods. He ran into the woods and I threw another perfect spiral that seemed to navigate through the branches and trees and again he caught it easily.

I turned to see my nephew ride up on a black horse. He asked if he could also go out for a pass. I said, "Sure, go for it." He rode off on the horse looking very clumsy and unaccustomed to riding. I threw another long perfect spiral but this pass was slightly off the mark. He had to reach to catch it and almost fell off of the horse. I yelled, "Great catch but you looked like a woman catching it.” EOD

Because of this, I predict the sender picked the picture of the horses and specifically tried to project an image of a black horse. I also documented this dream in two places, with timestamps, this morning and prior to any of the pictures being posted (just in case I get lucky

Dream Saturday night - Dream - I didn't have a regular dream where there were people, just images. There was no sound, but a sense of peace.

I saw what I would call a spirit or creature of light, very bright in the center but softer away from the center. It seemed to me to be in the shape of a person, and I thought about one I had seen before. As I moved forward I saw an edifice in the shape of a pentagon. It was ornate with carvings and brown as the basic color. The building then itself opened like a book would open. That part of the scene opened while the rest remained stationary and the two sides of the "book" became a natural scene which was perfectly balanced on both sides. I was taken by the symmetry which seemed unnatural for reality. I mean there is natural symmetry in lifeforms/nature; I just felt it was unexpected when looking at the bigger picture of life with many things taken together. I can't remember what the elements of this scene were now. I didn't walk into it. I found the light creature a bit mesmerizing and was disturbed by the mirror-quality of the way things were laid out.

The light itself did not have that exacting symmetry. It reminded me of a person by it's shape but it shifted and moved its arms, although it did not advance or retreat.

So anyway, that was the only bit of a dream I recall. I made the mistake of looking at the pics before I wrote this, so I won't describe what I think I remember from the scene itself.

Hi All,

In my dream I am at the hotel with a woman who looks a lot like Angel. We are talking about something silly and drinking wine in a bar/restaurant type atmosphere. It is like in an area of the conference hotel that doenst exist in waking life. There is another friend of mine there who is drinking with us. This is remarkable since has not drank in years due to alcoholism. Suddenly the phrase “materia lazulae” comes into my mind. This content is sort of told to me by a secret narrator of the dream.

I am slecting the image of the pool #1 as my choice. It feels familair and I think Angel may have been telling me about the color of the pool with Lazaulae.

Horses, unicorns, pegasus, planets, stars, the galaxy, and even butterflies.
Thought i was possibly in a "childrens museum" or some art museum,and these images were on pictures and paintings at the museum.

Hi all,

After trying all afternoon, and a heroic effort on Richard's part, I am finally logged in. So I can chat now and submit my (admittedly scanty) dream report. The first part of the night I only dreamed about visiting with my son, daughter in law and 2 year old grand daughter. Early in the morning I just had two snippets. I was smelling fresh parsley and I saw a horse racing or running.

So I pick the running horses #3. Either that is the target or I'm displacing and reverting back to my psiber conference logo - the running horse.

Just back from a trip Sunday night, PDT. So just for fun, as posted after the 5PM CDT deadline.

Beverly D'Urso let me know the name of the sender in a phone message I received just before going to bed late Saturday night so I had the contest in mind as I went to sleep. I did not do a formal incubation however.

I recorded four dreams Saturday night - only one dream - the first - fits a target - Target #1:

"On top of a rocky-crag / schoolhouse with a lot of people, mostly high school and college age. The ocean rises, all the way to the top of the schoolhouse. The dark water swirls, into a whirlpool - we all get caught up in it."

Main elements - a rocky crag /schoolhouse, swirling water and people.

Matches - the rocky-crag schoolhouse makes a good structural match for the fountain centerpiece and or the dome building in the background. Dark blue water surrounds the centerpiece in a circular array, swirling around it and coming out of the top.

Main miss - I don't see any people in this scene.

In my dream clip, I am trying to get to San Francisco. The city named after Francis of Assissi was the saint best known for his love of animals. It is said that upon his death bed Francis thanked his donkey for carrying his burden all of his life. The donkey wept tears. Donkeys are related to horses.

A few subconscious cues may have influenced my target choice. I just got in touch with them. #1. rcwelk mentions that Angel would be using various sensory channels to convey the Target image (of the available targets, I sensed that the sensation of cold would be most available to directly experience and send).
#2 Angel's last name is Morgan. This is the name of my favorite breed of horse, though I am not a horsey person persey.

Someone at ASD explained "DISPLACEMENT" in telepathy tests to me this way: The psyche searches all the targets and selects the one which is "most interesting" to it and then delivers the image or dream. I have to confess that the beautiful group of horses running is by far the most pleasing one to me consciously and unconsciously. I don't relate at all to rocket machines firing off. This, however, would be a poor excuse for a remote viewer!!!
