D. Mae Wright is a Native Californian who has
adopted Washington State as a beautiful place to live and paint since
1984. An artist proficient in watercolor, pastel, oil and acrylic, she
often paints from inspiring dreams and has kept a dream journal for quite
some time
Artist Statement This painting depicts one of my “flying carpet” dreams. In “Facing My Shadow” I am flying through the clouds when I notice a figure that resembles a reflection of me and I recognize it is a part of me that represents desire. I am lucid in this dream and I know this because I notice that have my lucid dream reminder balloon tied to my toe as I fly through the air on my “flying carpet.” | |||||||||
