About Ann Goelitz, CSW

Ann Goelitz is a clinical social worker in the department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. In her private practice, she specializes in chronic and terminal illness, end-of-life care, bereavement and loss, crisis intervention, trauma recovery, and dream work. Her training in dream work includes obtaining certification as a dream work practitioner from Robert Bosnak. She has led dream groups and workshops at Cancer Care, the Health Care Chaplaincy, Healing Works, Gildas Club, and in her private practice.

She has had two articles on her dream work with cancer patients published - "Dreaming their Way into Life: A Group Experience with Oncology Patients" in Social Work with Groups and "Nurturing Life with Dreams: Therapeutic Dream Work with Cancer Patients" in the Clinical Social Work Journal.
In October, 2000 she presented her paper "Dreaming their Way into Life: A Group Experience with Oncology Patients" at the 22nd Symposium on the Advancement of Social Work with Groups in Toronto, Canada.
She facilitated and presented in a panel discussion on dreams and healing with Tom Crokett and Robert Bosnak at the 2002 ASD conference in Boston.
