About Bitsy Broughton, M.A., Cert. in Dream Studies
A Former Board Member of IASD, Bitsy trains and consults with medical, educational and religious institutions across the country, as well as individual dream groups in California. She currently offers classes through the John Muir Women's Health Center in Walnut Creek California. Bitsy taught Dream Work as a Problem-Solving Tool and The Myth behind the Dream through the University of San Francisco Wellness Program. Bitsy presented at both the 2004 regional and 2005 international conference of IASD on the topic of animal guides in dreams.
Bitsy received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980. She received her M.A. in Human Consciousness Studies in 1989 and her Certificate in Dream Studies in 2004, both from John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, California. Her training has covered a broad spectrum from Shamanic dream practices and lucid dreaming to the physical aspects of sleep states.
Prior to her work with dreams, Bitsy spent 12 years working in the Electric and Gas Utility Industry promoting efficient energy technologies. While working for the Governor of Colorado in the Office of Energy Management and Conservation, she produced Colorados first national conference on Wind Technology.
Today Bitsy continues her work in the clean energy field as Director of Sales at Ice Energy, Inc.
She lives and dreams in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.
