About Bob Kathman
|
I began keeping dream journals when I was 16 and I still try to write down my dreams and also draw them. I have a BFA in General Fine Arts from The Maryland Institute College of Art. In the mid 90s, I was a member of a dream-working group called Tapestries for 2 years and took a course about sleep and dreams at The Smithsonian Institute.
One of my favorite dreams is of being high over a snow-covered forest of bare trees and slowly floating down in a wide spiral
not so exciting but peaceful.
Books about dreams Ive read and been encouraged by include those by Jung, Castaneda, Jeremy Taylor, Stephen LaBerge and Gayle Delaney. Also, I admire dream based comics by Rick Veitch, Aleksandar Zograf, Julie Doucet, Jesse Reklaw, Jim Woodring and other cartoonists, some of whom can be found in Flock of Dreamers, which is featured on my website, as well as The Nightly Record, color cartoons of my own dreams.
