About Boban Eranimos

Boban Eranimos was born in 1983 in Amayannoor, a small village in Kerala, India. His father is Eranimos and mother Annamma Eranimos. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the K. E. College, Mannanam, Kerala and his Post Graduate degree in Psychology from the School of Behavioural Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University. Later he received his M. Phil. Degree in Rehabilitation Psychology from the same University. His M. Phil dissertation, “A comparative study on Dreams of individuals with and without visual impairment”, is a creative work exploring the dream world of the visually impaired based on their sensory modalities. After his M. Phil, he started to working as a Consultant Psychologist in a Private Clinic, Kerala. During this period he dealt with some interesting clinical cases related to recurrent dreams, chronic nightmares and déjà vu. After one and a half years he returned to his alma mater and joined the faculty as an Assistant professor in Psychology on contract basis and, at the same time, he started his PhD work on dreams. After two years he moved to the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, the premier institute for mental health in India, where he obtained a M. Phil. in Clinical Psychology. During that time he was very much interested in déjà vu experiences, especially in their neuropsychological profile. So his M. Phil dissertation was concerned with the interesting area of déjà vu experiences.

Dr. Art Funkhouser, a world-renowned expert on déjà experiences, commented about his work “A study on the neuropsychological profiles of patients with schizophrenia with and without déjà vu experience”: “It is the first such investigation in déjà vu research. It has opened a new perspective and can be seen as pioneering a new approach in its research”. Boban lives with his mother in Kottayam, Kerala and has led workshops on Dreamwork and Déjà vu Experiences in India.
