About Deborah DeGraff

About North of Eden:

North of Eden is an organization of therapists and teachers who practice and teach Archetypal Dreamwork. Archetypal Dreamwork is a uniquely personal journey for those who are ready to move past concepts and step directly into the dream to experience the alchemy of profound change that awaits there.

This powerful new form of dreamwork brings dreamers into a direct, visceral, and sensual experience of the dream. It has led innumerable dreamers on the path, both terrifying and sublime, that Jung blazed and chronicled in the recently released Red Book. This work offers an experiential, life-changing descent into the unconscious to confront our very particular psychological obstacles and uncover the soul self that can know divine love. There is a Red Book in every one of us.

Marc Bregman founded Archetypal Dreamwork in 1973 and is the co-founder and co-director of North of Eden and the Center for Archetypal Dreamwork in the USA.

Marc is the author of The Deep Well Tapes; The Secret of the Pomegranate; Hubris of the
Heavens: Archetypal Dreamwork and Rudhyarian Astrology; and Dreaming Metaphysical. He has co-authored with Christa Lancaster Sex, Trauma and Conjunctio as well as Journeys of the Knight: Intimate Explorations of Archetypal Dreamwork, video presentations of the work of individual dreamers. He is currently working on two books, The Practitioner's Guide to Archetypal Dreamwork and Flesh Off the Bone: Dream Descent Through Past Life Trauma (with Christa Lancaster).

Christa Lancaster is the co-founder and co-director of North of Eden and the Center for Archetypal Dreamwork in the USA. Christa is a master Archetypal Dreamwork therapist in practice since 1991, and is also a teacher and a trainer of teachers. She has been presenting workshops since 1992 and retreats since the opening of the North of Eden Retreat Center in 2004.

Christa is the co-author with Marc Bregman of Sex, Trauma and Conjunctio, which includes the spiritual memoir of her journey through Archetypal Dreamwork called Vessel. She is currently working on a book with Marc Bregman calledFlesh Off the Bone: Dream Descent Through Past Life Trauma.

Archetypal Dreamwork has been discussed on Oprah Winfrey’s Soul Series, on the New York Times website, and on the National Public Radio program On Point. Marc Bregman and Christa Lancaster have been the subject of numerous radio interviews, as well as a television interview in Spain, and have spoken about and presented workshops on Archetypal Dreamwork throughout the USA, in Canada, and in Europe.

My notes on the IASD

Rodger Kamenetz suggested that we join the IASD and submit a proposal to present this work at the 2010 conference. Rodger is the author of The History of Last Night’s Dream¸ in which he discusses his own journey through Archetypal Dreamwork. He is now a practicing Archetypal Dreamwork therapist.

Co-founders of North of Eden, Christa Lancaster and Marc Bregman, presented Archetypal Dreamwork at the 2010 IASD conference in Asheville, North Carolina, along with many North of Eden teachers. We were very excited to meet so many people passionate about dreams and to join the national and international conversation about the power of dreams.
