About Evelyn M. Duesbury
|
My husband's question, I wonder if Evs dreams could be helpful to her, was my impetus to work with interpreting my dreams his question dramatically changed my life! After I left my former career (public accountant and accounting professor), dreams directed me to UWW-Whitewater, a school 100 miles from home (far enough that I had not considered that school). Dreams guided me during the thesis work for a master of counselor education degree (2000) where I developed the Personalized Method for Interpreting Dreams(PMID)." Dreams now guide me in subsequent research projects, in teaching others how to interpret their own dreams, and in writing.
My favorite dream: Bread of Heaven Keeps Feeding Me (September 5, 1991) I am at a School of Religion. I am so engrossed in my study that I miss supper. I go to the cafeteria after hours. There is no food left. But now in my things in my room I am surprised to find different kinds of loaves of bread. However, I decide they might not be mine, so I don't eat them. Now when we part to go home, some items are divided for each of us; among mine are loaves of bread - the same type loaves that were in my room! I have thought about this dream many times, and gloried in its message: Although at times I become so occupied, even with my spiritual studies, that I overlook this ever-present supply, the divine faculty in me continually feeds me, in the form of intuition, in the form of dreams,

Although I value many fine dream books and am most grateful for contributions from others, I must admit that my favorite dream book ever is my own dream journal. It is my favorite dream book because it has literally guided many of my decisions about relationships, career, education, research, and the spiritual.

My notes on the IASD
|
When I began working with my dreams in the early 1990s our son suggested there ought to be an organization on dreams. He searched the web and found the International Association for the Study of Dreams. I am most grateful for the support that my dream interpretation method has received from some renowned members of the International Association for the Study of Dreams. The importance of IASD is bringing dream interpretation to the everyday level of helping people deal with everyday issues, especially working through relationship issues. Since dreaming is common, the interpretation of dreams is one of the most available personal counseling techniques.
