I held degrees in English and Human Development before completing my Ph.D. in Oneirology and Narrative Psychology. My interest in longitudinal dreamwork grew into a dissertation, House Renovation as a Recurrent Motif in Dreams. My doctoral program included study of integrative medicine, including the importance of metaphor and meaning in illness and healing. I now work as a Writer in Residence in a large teaching hospital, where I invite patients & their families, staff, and medical students to experience the practice of reflective writing.
