About Jane E Carleton, GG, MA

Jane specializes in dreams as an intuitive consultant and workshop leader, holding a graduate certificate in Dream Studies, and an M.A. in Consciousness and Transformative Studies from JFKU. She is a graduate of Robert Moss’s School of Active Dreaming, and when living in Bali, studies sacred healing with I Gusti Made Pujana, a traditional Balinese shaman. Jane has practiced reading the I Ching since 1977 and assists others in consulting the ancient oracle. She travels internationally as a practicing dream worker.

Jane also earned a multiple subject teaching credential from San Francisco State University and spent some years teaching in inner-city San Francisco schools. During her time in Bali, she presented lessons on dreaming at the innovative Green School for K- 10 students.

Assisted in extraordinary ways by her dreams and intuition since childhood, Jane personally knows dreams and images heal. While in recovery from serious burns she sustained in a grease fire during her teens, she was assisted in her healing by her “fire leopard”, a powerful ally and image that gave her the strength to be patient with her healing process. She documented her first precognitive dream as a teen, and saved the life of a family member because she listened to a critical inner prompting. All of this got her attention at a young age and she has kept dream journals ever since.

Jane is also a graduate gemologist, earning her certification from the Gemological Institute of America in 1984, and has a long career in the fine jewelry industry. She finds dreams and gems each have a special magic.

Her favorite fun dream is a recurring dream, in which she is in a fancy pastry shop in Belgium, and she is taking one bite of each of the beautiful and delicious cakes, the flavor very much alive, each bite different. The taste is real and the experience is delightful. Much as life can be.

My notes on the IASD

I have been inspired by the depth of many of the IASD conference presentations and the open-hearted love of dreaming of the members. It is a rich community.
