About Margaret M. Bowater

I am a grandmother, living in Auckland, New Zealand, where I run a private practice as a Registered Psychotherapist and a fully accredited Teacher and Supervisor of Transactional Analysis, with a special interest in Dreamwork. I am NZ's On-line Guide for ASD. In August 2003, I resigned as a Co-Director of the Human Development and Training Institute of NZ, but continue as a tutor in Dreamwork and Transactional Analysis within the Counselling Diploma. I have published many articles on Dreamwork in professional journals, and in 1997 a book called "Dreams and Visions - Language of the Spirit." Since 1986 I have led hundreds of workshops for faith groups, counsellors and community groups of all sorts.

My notes on the IASD

I joined IASD after a friend in USA sent me a copy of "Dreaming" in 1991, and have maintained membership ever since. I value being part of a movement to educate everyone in the significance of their dreams as a source of inner wisdom; and particularly to draw the attention of counsellors, therapists and pastors to the potential of dreams to add or deepen a psycho-spiritual dimension in their work. I have greatly enjoyed the two international Dream Conferences I have been able to attend, and encourage IASD to keep up the good work of resourcing us all around the world.
