Hawaii has been my home for 20 years...before this I have been at home in Newton, Massachusetts, Washington, DC, New York City, and Frankfurt, Germany. My webpage tells about my career as a psychologist. (see below)
First conference was in Hawaii, and since then I have found it easy to cover any distance to attend an ASD conference.
The eclectic, mulit-disciplinary membership makes this a rich and rewarding experience. I value the philosophy that every dreamer knows best the meaning of a personal dream, and that each member is a valuable contributor.
It's hard to pick a single favorite dream. My spiritual dreams are the most valuable; inspiring images for meditation, religious themes for contemplation are special treasures.
My favorite book is The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep which is a treasure. I purchased this after hearing the presentation at ASD Hawaii by the author,Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche. I treasure his reminder to think "this is a dream," and find this thought help especially helpful at trying moments. The rich tradition from which he writes this book gives it special value for me.
