About Mike Hackett

I have been interested in the realm of dreams since I was a teen-ager and have always been fascinated at the mystery they present on a nightly basis! I began committing my dreams to paper when I was in my 20s and have maintained dream journals for over 20 years at this point.

I am passionate about dreams - understanding what they are about, how they can be used and what they mean for me and others.

In my professional training as a Therapist, I decided to focus my Bachelors Proposition on dreams and dreamwork (with an Irish view) entitled "How the 'Royal Road to the Unconscious' has become a road less travelled - a case for the re-introduction of dreamwork into Counsellor Training".

I have run several dream groups based in Ireland, have spoken and lectured on the topic of dreams and dream work in personal and professional therapist development and have been a member and occasional patron of the IASD.

My notes on the IASD

Whilst researching for my B.Sc. I stumbled across the IASD web site and decided to join it immediately due to the rich material, interesting publications and the connections it supports throughout the global dream work network.

List of dream-related publications and/or web sites where my work is featured.

None at present.
