About Paul Eric Lewis, Ph.D.

Not my dream but the dream of Organic Chemist Friedrich Kekule and the Benzene Ring, who said: "Let us learn to dream..." Friedrich Kekule who found the answer to a vexing problem in how can these six carbon molecules be arranged to have these chemical properties. Unable to solve this vexing problem, the answer appeared in his dream: THE DREAM WAS A SNAKE EATING ITS TAIL! The 6 carbon atoms are arranged in a circular ring, the BENZENE RING.

About as powerful a dream is THE LORD OF THE RINGS Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. It is a creation of archetypes and as "fantasy fiction" it may never be surpassed.

My notes on the IASD

I see that it may help people find answers to "vexing problems" in their own lives and I intend to use dreams in my future practice as did Freud and Jung. I think we need to return to Psychology and to throw out some of the harsh psychopharmaceutical drugs in the fields of mental health therapeutics, just as psychiatry accidentally threw out Psychology like "throwing out the baby with bath water."

At Clark, I learned in Psychology, about Kekule, Chemistry, and about Jung. I got to know Drs. Richard and Jane Lewis-White, M.D. and Ph.D. in New Haven, CT. Jane was an IASD President.

Many people and I believe "life is like a dream." My newest dream is my new business of bringing children up to grade level at Tutoring At Home, LLP in Worcester, MA. link
