Sara lives in New York City where she works as an actress and freelance American Sign Language interpreter. She joined ASD in 1999. Currently, she is developing Dreamplayers, a not-for-profit company which teaches children and families that dreams are a valuable part of our creativity. Dreamplayers provides workshops for schools and communities in "Dreamplay" - the use of dreams to create theatre, art, stories, songs, poetry - anything imaginable!
Sara also just completed a play for young audiences, "Harriet Dreaming", about the (true) journeys of Harriet Tubman and how she used her dreams to guide her and others to freedom along the Underground Railroad. This play had it's first reading at the ASD conference in Santa Cruz!!!
