About Sheri D. Kling, MATS

After an initial career in marketing and corporate communications, followed by a six-year stint as a touring singer and songwriter, Sheri Kling was recently awarded a master of theological studies from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and is currently a doctoral student at Claremont Lincoln University in Claremont, CA where she is researching the intersection of Process Theology and the thought of Carl Jung. Specifically, Sheri is interested in constructing a contemporary theological framework within which a Jungian-based spiritual practice of dreamwork and examination of synchronicities can be set in order to facilitate personal and spiritual transformation. As an emerging public theologian, a performing songwriter and an essayist, Sheri considers herself a “voice for transformation.”

My notes on the IASD

Sheri has been actively involved in the movement to incorporate dreamwork into the church through the work of Joyce Rockwood Hudson and Bob Haden, and is a workshop leader for the Haden Institute's annual Summer Dream Conference. It is through this event that Sheri became aware of IASD. She is also a member of the American Academy of Religion.
