About Umberto Barcaro

Main interest: automatic analysis of dream reports and associations, in order to study the complex connections between the memory sources of dreams. These connections are cognitive and emotional at the same time.

Favorite dream: The Dream of the Satyr (Alexander III of Macedon).

Favorite book: "Delusion and Dream in Wilhelm Jensen’s Gradiva", by Sigmund Freud. Reason: short book, deep insight into feelings, wishes, motivations, and dreams.

My notes on the IASD

Member of IASD since 1999.
A major characteristic of IASD: the integration of a variety of approaches to the dreaming experience (including research, therapy, history, self-knowledge, social and cultural context, artistic representation, and spiritual content).
